max, the problem is there is no clear cut definition of how an IO is supposed to respond to the scenarios you mentioned.
but i suggest that you search IV archives as this subject has been discussed in-depth before. i remember 1 or 2 ppl posting their AC21 and subsequent GC approval experience via self-employment/ LLC registration.

I had a really good experience in Nogales last week, I got my visa stamping on the same day of my appointment and the NVS International team was great. They arranged everything for me:transportation from the Tucson Airport to Nogales, they arranged my hotel stay, bank draft as well as transportation from the hotel to the consulate. With the current market crisis, you never know when you will be out of job.
Though I have my H1B valid till 2011( my I140 is approved and is already over more than six months, 485 is pending), Most of the people suggesting me to apply for EAD.
1) What are the procedures I have to maintain ( in connection to USCIS and my green card application pending) if I change employer?
2)Can I also work for multiple employers on EAD?

I had filed for Advance Parole renewal for me and my wife in July since our APs were expiring in mid October. I got the renewed Advance Parole last week with the expiry date as Oct 2011. My wife got hers today but instead of October, it has the start date of Aug 2010 and expires on Aug 2011. I don't know why the USCIS handled it in this way. She has lost 2 months. The Advance Parole extension was paper filed at the Texas Service Center. Can anyone tell me how I can get this rectified, if at all it is possible.

I appeared for h1b stamping at new Delhi us embassy. VO kept my passport and forms for admin processing. VO told me it may take 2-4 weeks. they didn't give me any slips ( pink/yellow/green). I am not sure what kind of processing they wanted to do in my case

I filed I-131 for AP renewal around 10th August and received a Biometrics appointment notice for I-485 yesterday. Is there Fingerprinting required for AP? If yes, why is the Case Type on the notice I-485? Or is the FP notice for I-485 and it is just a coincidence that I have filed for AP renewal. My PD will be current next month...

My cousin has a speech pathology (MSc) degreee from india and is trying for job oppurtunities in US( myself being a s/w i have no clue how this process works), can anyone of you throw some light on what kind of visa is needed, visa process involved, any consultants who can sponsor visa, and what are other things required to get started for this process. Any information is appreceiated.

My employer(hospital)filed for the PERM processing and paid the fees for it.It was subsequently approved with an audit.I filed for the I-140 in May 2008.The lawyer who was recommended by the employer did not give me the receipt number,nor the receipt.I was just told that it is pending approval.What are other people's experiences do you usually get a copy of the receipt?I was expecting to get it as I paid for the I-140 filing?I just want it so that I can keep tracking it on the uscis website.
